Intense and well-written novel set during November - December 1979. Thatcher is in power, the protagonist Paul is a middle class civil servant by day, a football casual with Tranmere Rovers in his spare time (not sure if they call them casuals in England - a 'hooligan'!). Really interesting insight, a book that totally transports you to a different time, place and culture.
