Hello everyone. I guess I'm here for the same reasons as most...a passion for reading and books. I joined at a friends urging because she loves the site so much and I can certainly see why. Generally speaking, I enjoy light reading (mostly fiction) and in the form of romance, intrigue and the odd ghost or two in a book doesn't hurt either (haha). I suppose you could say that I delve into a book because not only do I love reading but it also provides me with a refuge, solace and experience outside of my daily life and it's stresses. I love slipping away into another world and have an incredible imagination which makes the places, characters and events come to life in my mind. Some of my favourite authors include: Nora Roberts, Patricia Potter, Johanna Lindsay, Karen Robards and enjoy the intrigue from authors such as Mary Higgins Clark. I've just finished reading "Midnight Bayou" by Nora Roberts and loved the atmosphere of the book, the romance, the emotional obstacles of the characters and the ghosts (and mysteries they concealed). I don't know if anyone else has read it (I'm sure there is) but if you understand the type of book that I mean, I would love to hear some suggestions of other books that offer the same qualities. Anyway, I'll enjoy this site and would certainly welcome hearing from anyone else out there.
