I can speak and read Spanish pretty well. I was lucky that there were Spanish lessons available through the Newman Center at the University of Wisconsin in my hometown when I was about 10. It gave me a good head start.

We have Little Free Pantries here in Maine, too
Not as common as Little Free Libraries, but there are a number of them, largely with canned goods.
Maine is a good place for Bookcrossers :-)
I'll try to follow that when I next delve into this.
