I have finished this book and will get it out in the mail today.
I very much enjoyed this book. While reading the first installment I was unsure that I would enjoy this book and was hesitating at my promising to share it. But as I continued I found that I was truly involved.
There were phrase and sentences in which the writer decribes the nature of many of the relationships that made them real to me. The writer made them recognizable and authentic. And appealling.
I hope everyone enjoys and please share your thoughts.

I have to agree with Lizanne. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue reading this during the first installment, but shortly into the second installment I was hooked. I'm currently going through a painful and confusing breakup and it was interesting to see different views of love from the different characters. I really did enjoy this book and took quite a bit from it.
Sending to BelleMorte to continue the Round Robin.
Enjoy!

hurm... wasn't very crazy about this book. i had to literally stuggle to get through it. Glass's writing style just doesnt appeal to me and the story couldn't get me hooked. I am hoping that I am the only one to think this though. Will be sending to oldreader asap.

I've been meaning to read this book - and appreciate this chance.
(we'll be in Italy for 3 weeks - so I'll get to it as soon as we get back and send it on to stellertony.)
Thanks so much, oldreader - and those before!

From reading the first 10-20 pages, I think I would really enjoy this book - but in all honesty, I won't be able to get to it now - too many books, too little time - and the print seemed small...
Decided to keep this good book moving, and mailed it on to stellertony. I'll wait for another time to give it a fair chance.
Thanks again, Lizanne - and everyone before me on this great round robin!

Thanks again, Lizanne - and everyone before me on this great round robin!
Received today. I have a ton of rings and rays, but I'll try to get it read ASAP.
Started reading today - should be done this week.
This was a fairly good book. I enjoyed the second section the most - the first one I found incredibly dull, and the third just seemed like "get over with it already." Will be sending off when I figure out who it's supposed to go to - djf1968 or 1stlite.
Haven't heard back from djf, so I'll be sending it to 1stlite
Just opened this one, received in the mail while I was gone. Will put it at the top of my TBR as I have no pressing rings! (for a change! LOL) Looks good.
How wonderful. I had the hardest time in part three, had a tough time putting it together, but worked through that and am glad. And I thoroughly enjoyed the characters. I love works like this that get you to a totally satisfying end.
Will send on to phillycarol.

Oops! That last journal entry was from me. I didn't realize that my husband had cleaned out the computer and wiped out my bookcrossing login!
I have to agree with stellertony. I didn't love the first section but I kept reading, hoping it would get better. The second section was the best and during the third section I just wanted the book to end. I guess the style of writing was just not my cup of tea.
I'll send this book to awakeagain this week as soon as I contact her by PM.

I'm really sorry that I've been a complete bookcrossing slacker lately. I have this book in hand and am placing it an envelope and will mail it to awakeagain tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!
Part of Phillycarol's Round Robin #5
Although I enjoyed this book, it seemed a bit disjointed. It opens in Greece with lots of background information about the main character's life and family.
The next section opens abruptly with the death of the main character in the first section. It was a bit jarring.
By then I was expecting this to be a family saga so I was expecting the third section to be about the next generation but it wasn't really. It continued the story of the oldest son of the family.
However, very well written.
Will wild release per Lizanne's instructions. Thank you for sharing.
