The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn

This book hasn't grabbed me demanding to be read yet, and I have had it six months, so I am passing it on in the hopes of it finding a more responsive home. Go forth and prosper, little book!
Funny, Gen, but this book has lingered in my stacks for over a year now. But, since I just finished two books (The Other Boleyn Sister and The Queen's Fool) about this family, I have a renewed interest in this time period. Maybe I'll give it a try soon.
Sometimes reading like I do, in themes, so to speak, enhances your reading pleasure and sometimes it ruins it. Reading The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn right after reading The Other Boleyn Sister and The Queen's Fool was a mistake. The characters were all the same (Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Mary Boleyn, and Elizabeth), and the plot was the same (hey, this is historical fiction; there's just so much you can do with the events that actually happened). I would have liked Secret Diary much more had I read it first; likewise, I would have liked Other Sister much less had I read it second.

Recieved in the mail from Texas. Thanks!
I am not sure what the rating system stands for. If it is how much I enjoyed reading the book, I would never stick with a book that didn't rate at least an 8. But if it is for writing style, this book gets a 6.
But I did thoroughly enjoy it.
Next it is off to somewhere. I have to ask debnance, as I have deleted that piece of mail.
