The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

Despite this being a popular and well-known novel, I hadn’t read it until recently. So many bits from it have become part of pop culture and nerd culture, but I didn’t have much of a sense of the original context. It was an entertaining read, with a unique, wry, and absurdist humor. Most of it has aged well for 40+ year old sci-fi. Naming trends and some slang were the main things that remind a reader when it was written. The focus is on pretty universal human humor.
It was fun, and I am glad to have read it, but I probably wouldn’t bother to re-read it in entirety again.

Mailed to the winner of the sci-fi sweepstakes
Thank you emmejo. I have been curious about this book, but have not read it or picked up a copy for myself.
