Leaving Cold Sassy
3 journalers for this copy...
The unfinished sequel to the wonderful book Cold Sassy Tree (life in a small Georgia town in the early 1900's) - with reminiscences by her editor - and some nice old photos of the real people who inspired both books.
This arrived today, thanks so much!
I loved the feel of returning to Cold Sassy... it was like returning home. Olive Ann's style of writing is so vibrant!
I only read the unfinished story itself, and stopped at the biography of Olive Ann Burns. I think her writing speaks for her better than anyone else ever could.
