This book literally kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it. I couldn't put it down because *every* part of the book was tense and I just *had* to know what happened next, and when I did, I *had* to know what happened after that! An extremely good read, but don't even think of reading it unless you have the whole day free, cause you're gonna want to finish this in one seating. :)

PM me with your BC username, location and shipping preferences if you're interested to join this bookring.

From the back of the book:

24 hours---that's how long it takes a madman to pull of the perfect crime. He's done it before, he'll do it again, and no one can stop him.

But this time, he's just picked the wrong family to terrorize. Because Will and Karen Jennings aren't going to watch helplessly as he victimizes them. And they aren't going to let him get away with it.

They're going to fight back.

Finished 24 hours while in Melaka. "It happened fives times before, they were told, five other families before them, they followed instructions from their brutal kidnappers, paid up in full and remained silent ever since. But Will and Karen Jennings knew that in their case, it was different, that they were not meant to survive this ordeal. They have no choice but to fight back to save the life of their child."

Just got home from vacation and this book was indeed in my mailbox. Looking forward to reading it. I'm in the middle of another book, so I hope to start this one next week.

The book was fantastic!! I didn't want to put it down once I started it. I don't think I've read a book as fast as I read this one and that's saying a lot. It will be in the mail as soon as I get the address for the next person.

Journal Entry 11 by caligula03 from Hayward, California USA on Wednesday, October 29, 2003

The book was a lot better than I was expecting from reading the first chapter. It has it's moments that are over written and silly and yet the story is interesting and entertaining. The plot is tight and everything wraps up nicely in the end. It's also one of those rare mystery/thrillers where the police and FBI are actually competant!

Wow! What a great story! The perfect crime brings together 6 people with conflicting intentions resulting in great drama. Hard to put down once you've picked it up. You've been warned!

Journal Entry 17 by arugh48187 from Highland Park, Illinois USA on Tuesday, September 7, 2004
Received in my mailbox this morning. I have a few rings in front of it, but I am a fast reader and will get to it soon.

Journal Entry 18 by arugh48187 from Highland Park, Illinois USA on Friday, October 29, 2004
Hard to put down is the understatement of the century. I started this one about twelve hours ago and despite my present state of baby chaos managed to finish it a few minutes ago. I have to say it was a quick read, but it helped that it was action packed and insanely readable. I too was on the edge of my seat throughout. I will have to look for more books by this author (like my wishlist needs any more books on it).
