This book really disappointed me. John Edward states from the first pages of this book that he promises it will be different and unlike other popular medium's books.
Well, he's right, because other medium's books don't spend several hundred pages trying to sell their FIRST book. Crossing Over reads like a giant ad - from his books to his favorite soap operas.
It's extremely disappointing - only a few interesting stories, which he even admits are printed in FULL in ..... yes, his FIRST book. And I refuse to mention the name of his first book here, as I would be doing him a favor.
I sincerely thought John Edward was geniune, but after reading this book, I have very serious doubts. He brings up what is referred to as 'cold reading' (WARNING: John Edwards is biased against scientists) so much that it makes you wonder. I took a college course titled "Anthropology and the Paranormal" and we actually learned to cold read. And since he kept stating that's not done, it makes me wonder why he'd keep insisting on it!
So if you are a fan and wish to remain a fan, do not read this book. If you would like to spend several hours reading a giant infomerical, than definately rush out and get this book!
