I was thrilled to discover this book in the beautiful and historical Jardin du Luxembourg! I'm a Canadian teacher and I was accompanying a group of 20 students on a 2 week school trip to Paris. It was our first day there, we had just arrived when I spotted the book on a stone step.

I have been a member of bookcrossing.com for a long time, but I had never found a book before, so I was rather excited about it! The blue Post-it on the cover helped, I think. It made the book more obvious.

Having released a few books before without any reply or anything, I had more or less abandonned the idea after a while. Now I want to give it a new try! This catch has renewed my interest (and my «faith» in the whole thing).

In a week I'll be travelling to Peru: I'll make sure to read Hannibal's crossing of the Alps while myself crossing the Andes, and then I'll release it somewhere near Macchu Pichu. This little book will have then travelled a minimum of four countries (Ireland, France, Canada, Peru) and three continents. Not bad for a Pocket Penguin!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

I released the book in Cuzco, after completing the strenuous Inca Trail, a 4 day trek to Macchu Pichu. Reading it was fun, I enjoyed it very much! I left it on the steps of the big fountain in Plaza de Armas, and before long I saw a young Peruvian man picking it up. Who knows where it'll end up now?
