1991 BCI paperback of the entry in the First Americans series in the Ice Age north. In this one, the glaciers are retreating as new grasslands bring prosperity to a southern people who are being threatened by new people from the north who have hunted the mammoth to near extinction. This copy came from The Book Rack in Redding, California, some hundreds of miles north of here. I found this copy this week in the Lamson Little Free Library in Castro Valley.
I can let this go after I read:
1987 Beyond the Sea of Ice [read 2024]
1988 Corridor of Storms [read 2024]
Edit May 17, 2024: This was good, but I just skimmed to end for time. It runs long. I currently have this ranked at #7608 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
