Extended Profile
I am a professional biologist, amateur guitarist and singer, devoted dog cohabitant and perhaps not quite the obsessive reader I was as a teenager. Oddly, I read much better lying down than sitting up, probably because of my teenage habit of reading science
fiction novels in the bathtub. I like books that make me laugh, or that stretch my imagination without too much stress in the stretch. I have travel anxiety, so also appreciate books that take me places that I'm too timid to visit in real time.
Favorite authors:
Kurt Vonnegut
John Steinbeck
John Irving
Ian Rankin
Tom Sharpe
Joseph Heller
and so on
I would agree with the dog's sentiment that few things in life are more important than peanut butter, but would probably substitute honey or chilpotle sauce.
