Being a "Navy Brat" during my adolesence I had many opportunities to enjoy reading. We traveled a bit and with each new duty station there was always something new to learn about the area we were living in at the time. Through site-seeing, reading and making new friends (while keeping the old of course - "Hi Maine and Maryland!!"), my sister and I were never bored.

Though I have grown up (in years, but not in my heart) one of my favorite activities is still reading. Once I get hooked in to a good book, it's hard to get my attention until I have finished it.

I have two beautiful nieces (ages 10 and 3) that take up the rest of my spare time. Every chance I get I am buying them books to read, or for me to read to them. I don't think that there is a better gift to give a child!!

I am very excited to start using this wonderful website and the "Read and Release" program. I hope that I can spread some of the love I have of books to others. What a wonderful concept!!
