Journal Entry 1 by wingeponine38wing from Winchester, Massachusetts USA on Sunday, August 29, 2010
From the back cover:
David Norfolk, an archaeologist searching for a sixteenth-century Portuguese ship long rumored to be buried beneath sand dunes in southern Australia, unearths the body of a man apparently murdered fifty years ago. Nearing the end of his funding and desperate to find the ship, Norfolk calls upon an old man named Kurt Seligman, who lies dying in a shack near the excavation site. Hoping that Seligman knows something about the location of the Portuguese ship and about the identity of the corpse, Norfolk soon finds himself entranced by a strange and impassioned tale, a cryptic confession of obsessive love and betrayal in the 1930s and '40s.
