From the back of the book:
"Seasoned stitchers know: the sassiest garments are often the easiest to make - as long as you understand what you're doing and why. In Knitter's Lib, handmade-knit designer Lena Maikon applies her learn-as-you-go approach to twenty original designs, providing instant gratification to fashionable up-and-coming knitters.
Featuring how-to instructions for basic knit and crochet stitches plus comprehensive tips to craft, personalize, and perfect any project, Knitter's Lib is about knitting with open eyes - it's not about following the pack or even following the pattern. Lena eliminates the mystery of every project's curve and seam, teaching knitters and crocheters of all abilities how to liberate themselves from pattern dependency to create stylish, from-scratch designs with confidence and success."
Bought in The Works for £1.99 in May 2010. I've started reading this, but think the instructions will be easier to follow with the yarn and needles than trying to envisage it all without the physical trial! Even if I don't want to make the items in the book, hopefully this will teach me to crochet, as that's something I'd really like to try properly instead of just chains.

Arrived as part of an amazing HGG package - many thanks. I agree, it's not the easiest book to read without yarn and needle or hook in hand - I have an idea in mind now for the lovely mixed texture yarn bag I have upstairs - I think the sleeveless top pattern could be used for it.
When I've had a little play around with some of the ideas, it'll be released either in a local OBCZ or as a controlled release to another yarnie bookcrosser.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Got some interesting ideas in this book, but its time to find a new home. Now who do I know where the two interests of knitting and book-crossing collide? Ah ha!!
Received in a truly wonderful HGG parcel from Millycat. Thank you so much for your generosity!
I've had fun with this book, but time to set it free. I am going to try and find another knitting bookcrosser! Maybe via HGG. Watch this space. :-)
And off it goes to my Easter Exchange partner. Hope you enjoy the parcel. Happy reading!
What a surprise! I am looking forward to try some of the projects - hope, I will be able to understand the instructions! ;-)
Thanks a lot for my lovely created easter parcel!
