I wanted to read this and started on a couple of occasions but just didn’t get into it. However, this Christmas I decided it was time for the rather too huge book piles at my Mums, in Aberdeen, to be diminished. But the seriously wild piles of snow kept me and thousands of others indoors over the festive period. But today off it goes travelling!!!

Attempted this one a while back but was put aside, didn't hold my interest. Taking to meetup to release. Will be left on the OBCZ shelf if not taken.
Mystified as to how this cdn't hold previous BCers attention. Already a Helen Dunmore fan (The Siege) was delighted to find this at Belmont on Boxing Day. Temporarily put aside another excellent book (The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver) to finish it. Find story but especially quality of writing
