I picked up this copy from The Book Thing of Baltimore, Inc. located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. The Book Thing is a warehouse of free books that has become a local fixture in the community. The premise is simple. You take as many books as you like, and you can donate as many books as you like. It has become a place for us bookcrossers to congregate often.

Here is the book description from the publisher:

Frodo Baggins knew the Ringwraiths were searching for him--and the Ring of Power he bore that would enable Sauran to destroy all that was good in Middle-earth. Now it was up to Frodo and his faithful servant Sam to carry the Ring to where it could be detroyed--in the very center of Sauron's dark kingdom.

Well, I tried to release this book today at Kensington. I really tried. But when I got home tonight, I realized that whoever unpacked my bags missed 3 books in the bottom. So this will be released again in a few weeks at the Gaithersburg book festival.

Found this great classic at the local book festival. And what a find! Especially among the rest of the free selection, most which happened to be filled with harlequin romance novels.
Many friends of mine had interesting things to say about LOTR. And one in particularly is a huge fan of Tolkien. I look forward to seeing if it lives up to all the hype!
