Got it secondhand and kept it for a few years. Downsizing my collection. When I finally get around to reading it, I'll borrow it from the library, or (maybe) find a copy from The Wild!

I have read this one before, it's a fabulous book! I read it years ago, but the Dolores Price character is hard to forget.

Got this out of Loriped's fiction bookbox

Seriously didn't see what the fuss was all about.
So she's fat, so what? She describes herself as if she's horribly disfigured, a freak with rolls and rolls of overlapping fat but at one point when the author discloses an actual number I had to stop and say WHAT? that's not disfiguringly fat unless shes like what 4 feet tall?

All I saw was a lackluster character who wallows in self pity and expects others to fix her problems, if life is getting a little hard, omg run away run away, I have no sympathy for these type of people. Whine whine whine geeze I hated this character by the end of this book. I refuse to recommend this book to anyone but I will give it away just to freaking get rid of it. YUK.

Just to be clear I'm not making light of rape victims but this character just didn't ring true for me.

OK been looking to get rid of this book ;) and the chick lit bookbox seems like a good place :)
