From back cover: Frank Abagnale, alias Frank Williams, Robert Conrad, Frank Adams, and Robert Monjo, was one of the most daring con men, forgers, imposters, and escape artists in history. During his brief but notorious criminal career, Abagnale donned a pilot's uniform and co-piloted a Pan Am jet, masqueraded as the supervising resident of a hospital, practiced law without a license, passed himself off as a college sociology professor, and cashed over $2.5 million in forged checks -- all before he was twenty-one. A hilarious, stranger-than-fiction account of his sumptuous life on the lam, international escapades, and ingenious escapes [this book] is a captivating tale of deceit.

Can't believe I am adding more books to Mt. TBR. Got this one today from firegirl. Will probably also check out the movie version of the book.

Abagnale uses words like 'pigeon', 'poke', 'mark', 'swindle' and delegates nice people to the naive, sucker slot of his brain. I don't like him. I don't admire him. I don't think he is anything more than a sociopathic egotist. OK, so he eventually straightened out and prides himself on being a good father and husband, but he's still taking in the suckers by publishing this memoir and getting paid good money to brag about his escapades. Detest this kind of person. Have a relative whose mind works much the same although he is not as intelligent as Frank Abagnale. This individual's cons caught up with him sooner and he is know sitting in the State Pen. Wish Abagnale was there with him. I'm appalled that people find him fascinating.
