Wow! It got there pretty fast. :D
Changing back its status... :)
I really enjoyed this one, recipes and all!
Not great if you are on a diet, mind you!
All characters were well differentiated and funny, particularly Hannah's mother and sisters. (And I love her cat...)
Soon to be sent to Bookpatch, as part of a book swap.
Enjoy!

Thanks, Eva, received today. Of course, I have to look at the recipes right away--the fruited French toast sounds really good! Thanks for swapping.
We find Lake Eden in the midst of an indie film shoot in this 8th installment of the series, with Hannah supplying (what else?) cherry cheesecake to cast and crew. When the director is tragically killed, Hannah's not so sure it's an accident and enlists her usual posse of sisters and friends to find out the truth.
I enjoyed this read. While I thought Hannah's "Mike or Norman" dilemma was dispatched in a rather unrealistic and anti-climactical way, author Fluke probably knows we're not reading these books for their dramatic realism, :-). We just like the mystery to be solved at the end with a few tasty recipes along the way. It is, and they are. Thanks for sharing!
Since I had some coconut flake I needed to use up I decided to make the "Double Flake Cookies" today (the other flake ingredient being dehydrated potato flakes). While coconut cookies are not my most favorite dessert, these were really pretty good with an excellent texture. In the book, Hannah's sister Andrea eats one after another, trying to taste the potato in it. While I wasn't able to taste any potato, I could smell it while they were baking!
