I received this in the mail today from CT. Thanks, BMaire! I do look forward to reading this book, although it will be difficult for me. My father-in-law passed away from ALS in July, 2001. We did watch the movie (based on this book) when he was first diagnosed.

I finished reading this book today. Hubby and I watched this movie right after my father-in-law was diagnosed with ALS in 2000 to learn more about the disease. I'm finally able to read this although it was still tough to relive the terrible disease. My nephew's daughter needs to read it next month for virtual school. Since we are all under a stay-at-home Pandemic order, I'm sending her my copy. This is such a touching story of the everlasting friendship between professor and student years later. Morrie has so many words of wisdom as he slowly slides downhill to his deathbed. Many remarks can be remembered and applied to our own lives.

Traveling to Middlebury, IN next.
