Six Feet Over: Adventures in the Afterlife

Mary Roach's very funny and educational look into what happens after we die. What the 'experts' think, anyway.
Caught at meet-up.

Mary Roach varies off a bit too often in to 'funny anecdotes' (esp. in the numerous footnotes!), but still a very enjoyable read on an unlikely subject.
Picked up at last night's bookcrossing meetup. I'll see...
Very entertaining book about the afterlife and how the experts try to figure out what happens after we leave our mortal shell.
As could be espected from the structure of the book, the quality of each chapter varies in enthrallment but none go below par. Sometimes the topic of the chapter is fascinating and sometimes it's largely her humorous approach that makes for an interesting read.
Mary Roach managed to write a thought-provoking book across the whole spectrum of afterlife thought. Even the acknowledgement section is a fun part to read. Who else lists their sources 'in order of diminshing exasperation' with her 'naive, misguided questions and [her proneness to] giggle at the wrong moments'?
Pick it up and give it a go.
