A lost-and-found, donated to the OBCZ. Thanks!
Borrowing this one from the OBCZ for my sister. Hope you enjoy!
Received this in the mail from my big sis. I am really trying to broaden the types of books I read, so this one looks like it will help. Plus, it appears to be set in Scotland, which can never be a bad thing ;)
I randomly decided to grab this off my shelf and read it this week, and was pleasantly surprised. I don't normally read crime/drama books, but this was actually very good. Lots of action, interesting characters - and a plot that wasn't too easy to figure out, or too difficult to understand what had happened once the end came.
Overall, a good read! Not sure what I'll do with this, so will list it as AVL until I decide.

Volume #2 in the Jackson Brodie series, this one was as quirky as the first. I find myself still trying to adjust to Atkinson's writing style, and I haven't decided if the small things that make me raise my eyebrows are indeed part of her style or if it's just the Britishness of it all. In this one, the chapters alternate between several main characters, and the reader is left to try to figure out how all of the characters & situations fit together. It was entertaining enough & I'll probably continue with the series, but for now I need to put Jackson Brodie aside & move on to some different type of reads for a while before revisiting.
Sending off to PBS member. Enjoy! :')

I just finished Kate Atkinson's first Jackson Brodie mystery (Case Histories), mailed to me by a friend in New Orleans over a year ago. I put One Good Turn on my Paper Back Swap "wish list" and received it today. I'd never been aware of www.bookcrossing.com until I saw the sticker on this book...intriguing! I expect to like the book, and now I'm interested in how this "book crossing" community works.
