The Sight of the Stars

A story told often of the young man from a poor background who, using his good looks, good luck, and brains, becomes successful. While not much is originally or particularly thought-provoking, Plain does a nice job of building an interested family across the generations and resists the temptation to make everyone's problems resolved by the end of the book.
Rec'd today, a bright pick-me-up on a dreary day. Thanks! :)
