This was a somewhat muddled but generally entertaining romance novel disguised as chick lit. The heroine was loopy to the point of being delusional and the hero was perfect to a fault. That being said, there's something about reading chick lit written by a British author that makes everything sound infinitely more witty and endearing. I gave it an extra point for that alone.
