I bought this as a gift for danadoodle, from her wish list. As such I haven't had the chance to read it in full. But just glancing through makes me want to look for another copy for myself. The book appears to be full of information, presented in an engaging way. The description of the carbon atom as "shamelessly promiscuous" made me laugh out loud.
