Finished reading this while at the UK BC Convention 2008 in London, a great read, and quite different from The Secret Life of Bees.

Thank you peaceangel for passing this book on to me at the London BC Convention 2008 - I feel honoured!
I've never read anything by Sue Monk Kidd so I'm really curious - especially after your recommendation.
PS: Let me know if you hear the BBC World Service feature and tell me, how it was. :)

What a perfect timing for this book - beautiful summer days and a little free time at hand.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel!
Thanks for sharing this book with me, peaceangel, I wouldn't have stumbled across it by chance!
This atmospheric novel is all about being loyal to what lies deep within oneself - this is as banal as it is so true. The mermaid theme beautifully illustrates and the nature theme orchestrates the journey of the heroine.
For the ultimate draw-in experience read it when you are at a lake or sea side! :)

Just got this book in my postbox this week, along with a VERY tasty austrian waffle :-) Danke vielmal, Dagett. Freue mich schon, dieses Buch endlichmal zu lesen!
I absolutely LOVED this book - beautifully written, atmospheric and a very truthful. What touched me was the honesty within the characters. Or rather, the honesty that eventually comes out. The fact that every marriage has honesty within it.
