It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

someone asked me what i thought of this writer so i went to this page to look up what i wrote at the time. well... nothing, really! so let's make up for that now.

i read this in june last year and enjoyed it tremendously. fuller gives a very good feel of africa, as far as i am allowed to be opinionated here, being a rather recent import. her tales of remote farms, endless heat, incomprehensible governments and far away towns are recognizable. even, i'm afraid, many a part of what we read about her mum brings up memories (of my dad), especially the mention of the children counting the amount.

lucky me, i have no past of any war so that part of the story is more remote to me. but interesting and sort of instructive, as i have many friends who lived through the rhodesian war and hesistate to mention any memories to outsiders.

all in all, if you are fond of africa and its history this is a must read.
