Great!
***************
To the outside world, they seemed to have it all. Cassie Barret, a renowned anthropologist, and Alex Rivers, one of Hollywood's hottest actors, met on the set of a motion picture in Africa. They shared childhood tales, toasted the future, and declared their love in a fairy-tale wedding. But when they returned to California, something altered the picture of their perfect marriage. A frightening pattern took shape--a cycle of hurt, denial, and promises, thinly veiled by glamour. Torn between fear and something that resembled love, Cassie wrestled with questions she never dreamed she would face: How could she leave? Then again, how could she stay?

Thanks, aurora94!
A friend has been trying to get me into JP for the better part of a year and hadn't succeeded due to my only having been able to find Plain Truth. So she and I thank you :)

WOW! Very fast! Received today! Thanks!
Most excellent book!! Got really caught up in the story. Now it's going on to indygo88 - from a reverse wishlist relay - ENJOY!
It's here! Always good to dig into a good Picoult novel. Looking forward to this one as well! Thanks, Rosie!
I somehow received two copies of this book, both I think from reverse wishlist relays. (Obviously, memory is not what it used to be, if I accepted it twice within a month or two!) So this copy is now going to collectorkerri, via another relay. Off you go, little book!
Thanks for the RABCK, indygo88! I'll put it on my TBR shelf.
What a chilling story. And as the main character found out, it's an all-too-common scenario, and not restricted to any socioeconomic group. I think I liked this better than most Jodi Picoult books I've read (which is most of them). It didn't have the twist ending that I so dislike in many of her books (My Sister's Keeper, I'm talking to you!), but it still had an ambiguous enough ending that you wondered what happened to all the characters.
It's now headed to jumpingin in Canada as part of gzusgirl's TBR Virtual Bookbox.

It's here! Thanks so much. I'm looking forward to reading it and then passing it on.
This was a compelling book that had me staying up a bit too late on more than one night. Thanks for sharing!
Sent to a participant in collectorkerri's First Sentence's VBB.
I received my first sentence today, along with the whole rest of the book, as part of Collectorkerri's First Sentence's VBB! Looking forward to reading this! Thank you, Jumpingin, for sending it! And, thank you, Collectorkerri, for sponsoring the VBB! I'll make a journal entry when I've read the book!
