Under The Duvet
3 journalers for this copy...
A Christmas present from MrPloppy's parents. When I opened the parcel and saw it was a Marian Keyes book, I thought it was one of her novels, and groaned inwardly at the thought that they had so badly judged my reading tastes (I have read a couple of Marian Keyes novels in the past when stuck for anything else to read, but don't plan on repeating the experience if I can avoid it), but it turned out instead to be a collection of her newspaper columns, which might be slightly more interesting (at least it won't be the same plot rehashed yet again...)

Not actually as bad I I'd feared it might be. A pleasant collection of articles of the "woman chatting about everyday life" type that every newspaper seems to have at least one weekly column for. Mostly shallow stuff, but there's a few mildly interesting insights into a writer's life. The one article that dips below surface level is the one about the author's alcoholism, but she manages somehow to keep even that topic reasonably light and fluffy (which may be a good or a bad thing depending on your point of view).
Probably better as a "dip into it occasionally" book than as a straight read.

Not as good as her novels, but I still enjoyed this. I've passed it onto someone who saw me reading it and expressed an interest in having it "next". Who knows, she may even journal it one day before it gets passed on.
Very funny and nice and light to read.. actually read it on a couple of 6 hours flights
