This book is on tour, currently in Tallinn Estonia, where we experienced a very late burst of winter with lots of snow. Tallinn is a beautiful medieval walled city that has struggled with many imperial powers over the centuries - Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Germany and USSR.This photo is in front of the Niguliste Museum, previously Niguliste (or Saint Nicholas) Cathedral.
Today we are in Riga, Latvia. The weather is lovely, blue skies and temperatures in the mid teens. First day without a coat! This is taken at the Nativity of Christ Cathedral, the domes are a spectacular gold leaf in the sunlight.
A beautiful sunny day in Riga today and we exploredThe Art Nouveau district.
Another city and another church! Here we are in front of Helsinki Evangelical Lutheran Church. Ornate on the outside, but quite a simple interior, where we listened to a prayer for peace in Ukraine. Everywhere we have been; Finland and the Baltic states, are all protesting strongly against Russia.
