Received this yesterday. I haven't read anything by Ghosh before, so am interested to see how good it is. I received this as part of the 1001 VBB but not too sure it is actually on the list. Should be a good read anyway, so thank jubby.

Quite an enjoyable read. I always enjoy reading books from such different cultures. It feels authentic The style is a bit old fashioned and traditional but it's still very readable.
