RELEASE NOTES:
I hope to release this this weekend.
I hope to release this this weekend.
I like Tony Hillerman; I found this book to be one of the best I've read.
I found this paragraph quite evocative:
"What made me think of Kothluwalawa was the business of the dance hall. If you translate that word to English it means something like 'Dance Hall of the Dead', or maybe 'Dance Ground of the Spirits', or something like that." Ingles smiled. "Rather a poetic concept. In life, ritual dancing for the Zuni is sort of a perfect expression of ..." He paused, searching for the word. "Call it ecstasy, or joy, or life, or community unity. So what do you do when you're beyond life, with no labors to perform? You spend your time dancing." -- p. 146 of this registered copy

Hope you don't mind my catching your books again, Ramya. There are few bookcrossers who enjoy reading in English here. I read a couple of novels by Tony Hillerman years ago. I cannot remember the titles, but I don't think this was one of them. I'll put it back on the shelf once I(ve read it.
I thought the ending was a bit disappointing. Still, Leaphorn's investigations always are out of the ordinary. I left it on a bench on the sea promenade at Ballybunion, Co Kerry, Ireland on July 16th, 2006.
