Atwood's second work of pure SF isn't nearly as good as her first (The Handmaid's Tale), but it's worth reading.

I just wish that Atwood, who borrows librally from other SF writers, would be honest about the fact that she writes SF.

Don't let her literary snobbery spoil the book for you, however.

Boken ser mycket interessant ut. Tyvärr har jag för många böcker på min TBR-berg. Eller tyvärr måste jag arbeta och inte bara läsa. Och jag skulle vilja göra taktila bilder böcker åt blinda barn också. Men man kan inte ha allt man vill ha. Man måste göra det bästa man kan och nöja sig med det!

Jag har inte läst andra böcker av Margaret Atwood, så jag kan inte säga om den här är den bästa eller inte. Hon skriver intressant i alla fall. Jag undrar varför hon säger att inte skriva scifi. Vad är felet med scifi?
Nu ska resa jag till Stockholm. Kanske hittar jag där en god plats att lämna boken?

Jag lämnade boken i Slussen vid ingången till tunnelbana på hyllan för tidningen Metro.

I left the book near the entrance to the subway in the shelf for the gratis newspaper Metro.

Slussen had an important role in the lives of many Finns who came to work in Sweden, especially during the 70s. This role was not always a happy one. The happiest part of this role was perhaps that all the boats to Finland left near Slussen. Nowadays there is also another seaport for boats to Finland.
