Picked up this book at a flea market (one of 6 books purchased for $5). This is now in my "to be read" pile.

From back cover:
"They had been six teenage girls in Wheeling, West Virginia. Full of mischief. Acting wild. Have good times. And getting into trouble. They called themselves the Six of Hearts. Then one night things went to far. One of them died. The rest swore to never tell what really happened.

Now, thirteen years later, someone has decided to kill the remaining Six of Hearts. The first to die is Angie, a successful New York City actress. And flower-shop Laurel Damron, still living in Wheeling, may be next. She has gotten a chilling message in the mail. She knows the killer is watching her. But who? Only be searching the past can she uncover a haunting truth...only by looking deep within herself can she uncover a lost memory...and only by suspecting everyone she knows, does she have one slim chance of staying alive...

Quite a suspensful book. The main character is very likable, even if some of the events in her past are not. I guessed a couple of times at the killer's idenity, but I wasn't right.

This was my first Carlene Thompson novel, and certainly not my last. The beginning was sort of slow, but by the middle of it I really liked it and towards the end I was totally hooked. A nice psychological romance/mystery, and although I guessed from early on who the killer was - I guessed wrong *grins*. It took me totally by surprise to find out the real identity of the culprit. And the actual motive. But I guess it takes all sorts...

Reserved for Danes for relay, sending out most probl. on Thursday.

I really like this author. The plot in this book was great based on an "accidental death" of a teenage girl 13 years prior. I never guessed who the killer was at all. I had suspicions but all of them were wrong.
