Read this a while back, and seem to remember that I found it somewhat disappointing. I'm intrigued by the early European exploration of Australia (acknowledging the later massacres of Indigenous people and strychnine in the flour) and the evidence that remains. There are maps hanging in the Filippino president's palace, made in the 1600s, that show the north coast of Australia in remarkable detail.
