Jacket blurb: "In 1931 the authorities seized 14 year old Molly Craig from her desert home in Jigalong, Western Australia, with her younger sister daisy and cousin Gracie. Official policy decreed that the 3 girls be taken to Moore River Native Settlement where, dispossessed of their aboriginal family and culture, they were to be trained as domestic servants. Their trauma was intensified by Moore River's harsh regime and Molly soon decided it was time to go home, to their mothers. And the only way home was to walk. This is the true story of the girls' 1600 kilometre journey back to Jigalong."

I have not read this screenplay, nor seen the movie, but I have read Doris Pilkington's prose version of the same story, which I felt lacked some of the tension that I assumed would be present in the movie version. For people who have seen the movie, however, you might find some interesting background information in Pilkington's version.

This edition features notes from the author and photos from the movie. Ready for release.

On way to Geegal in 'extra' with some trade books...

Hey thanks for this extra book! I just watched the movie. I did like it. especially the landscape and kenneth Brannagh but it was a bit boring. I really look forward comparing this to My Place by Sally Morgan, which I loved!

Alright I read through the screenplay briefly after renting the movie. Well as it's a screen it's obviously not as readable as the novel so I couldn't really enjoy it.
Hm I am going to try to find someone who's interested in movies and screenplay.
