Taken from the Non-Fiction Bookbox as I have another Helen Macdonald book to go in.
I've read this before, here was my review at the time:
An incredibly intense memoir of Macdonald's training of a goshawk, Mabel, and at the same time trying to come to terms with the death of her father. Interwoven is the story of T.H. White, and how his many flaws feed into his mishandling of his goshawk. Sometimes disturbing, always interesting, I found myself drawn into Macdonald and Mabel's worlds.
