Congratulations, you have won the International YA Sweeps for April 2022! I could not resist ordering you both my favourite Margaret Mahy novels. I grew up in love with these and love them still (the other book being 'The Tricksters'). They both remain in my Top 5 books of all time - enjoy :D

Interesting YA book with teenage Laura as the central character whose younger brother is "branded" by devilish shopowner Carmody Braque and has his life and youth sucked away and transferred to Braque. Laura is helped to develop into a witch to save younger brother. Reminded be slightly of the Dorian Gray story....
