The first one of Jane Austen's Classic Novels.
Two sisters one representing Sense and the other representing Sensibility (a notion at the time of the emotional female).
Set in the times that Jane Austen lived in, there are some contemporary references that we don't always pick up on, in the manners and morals of the time. But Austen is a witty and astute writer and still relevant in many ways today.
This a Vintage paperback that I picked up from the Canberra Lifeline Bookfair. I was doing an English Lit online course on Austen and this was one I used for the course work.
