CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
My thoughts:
I enjoyed this.
I didn't think it was 'great' but that was more down to it not being the kind of book that ticks enough boxes for me.
I did think it was well thought out, and very well written.
You can also appreciate the dedication of the author to not cave in and let Harold take the easy route. As a reader it was frustrating, so it must have been painful to write it!
Will be interested to read her 2nd novel, but for a debut I thought this was good.
...and its off.
I hope this book is enjoyed on it's Ring Tour!

I enjoyed the book, very easy to read. I was extremely frustrated by Harold's refusal to do anything about the pain in his calf - how VERY useful it would have been if he'd lost a leg in the process. A difficult topic, handled in an unusual way - grief is a strange thing, & denying it only makes it worse.
