This is a really good book. If you have read Anne Frank, you MUST read this book. While Anne Frank's diary is THE WW2 book, this book offers the many other perspectives by other diarists of all nationalities. Some diarists are young and therefore, quite inarticulate at times, but there is no doubt of how severe the situation of war is at their respective locations (this collection of war diarists does not only cover WW2, but also the Israel-Palestine conflict and the Northern Ireland). There are some very good diarists in this book who would definitely tear your eye from their descriptions of the war-torn country they live in.
