I read this while waiting for a table at the Olive Garden.. I loved it so much that I was reading at the table.. and finished not long after getting home. The next day the movie came out.. and I went to see it. The book is SO much better! The book has much more about the each individual person in the hospital.. Explains what is wrong with many of them and what brought them on... but it is a very ambiguous ending. It never reaches a full conclusion about what in fact he is.. I think the truth lies in the middle.. I don't want to say my theory (and my friends also) because it may spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it. This one is on relay!

Going to Cestmoi

Journal Entry 3 by wingcestmoiwing from Hamilton, Ontario Canada on Saturday, February 14, 2004
Received in the mail yesterday and read today!
I was amazed at how close the movie stuck to the novel, except for Brewer's children. Of course, one downside is that I could only picture Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey and not think of the characters as anyone else. But I was impressed. Since seeing the movie, I had my own theory of who Prot was and what happened to Bess and the novel just reaffirmed that theory. Very imaginative novel full of humour, quiet wisdom and spirituality.

Given to penelopita to take back to Paris and release or share with other bookcrossers.

Tomorrow I fly to Funchal for a 1 week holiday. I am planning to read the book in the plane and release it there, on this island that some people consider a remain of Atlantis ?

May 30th
Read the book during this holiday and loved it.It was then given to Victor, our Mederian guide. He will leave it at the IJM sooner or later...
