Thank you for the lovely BC-surprise, it was like Christmas in summertime! Although I have to re-read my profile if Naked is what comes to mind from it...
We were all glad that you had decided to desert your light-blue nightie, get dressed and give as a talk about being a writer. Although most bookcrossers wouldn't have thought it peculiar had you arrived there in the nightie. If it weren't for the dogs I probably wouldn't dress up during weekends. Writer-material??
Looking forward to reading this book sometime in near future.

It seems that I only have time to read books I tag people with, so I've tagged Vekiki with this.

Journal Entry 5 by wingkirjakkowing at Sipoo, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Wednesday, January 2, 2013
Spent the New Year in Sipoo as my older dog is scared of fireworks and they are plentiful in the middle of Helsinki. Took Naked along as I'm heading to London town next week, perhaps I'll have a chance to see Vekiki.
It says on the cover that David Sedaris is a humorist par excellance and can make Oscar Wilde appear a drag. Please, you are talking to a Huge Fan of Oscar's here. Naked didn't quite live up to the expectations, but I always think it's better to have none or not too high expectations to begin with - then you probably are positively surprised. How should I describe the book? John Irving meets Forrest Gump and they bump into an adult Alice in Wonderland who is Running With Scissors... if you get the picture. Didn't finish the book, so it will definately be on the London plane.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Will be meeting Vekiki and a few other London bookcrossers at the top floor cafe of Waterstone's main store in Piccadilly - the biggest bookstore in Europe it claims to be!! Looking forward to it as back in the dark middle eighties I used to work at the Academic Bookstore in Helsinki - and that shop claimed to be the biggest in Europe at that time. Should I count the books while over?
Naked travels with me and will be hand delivered to Vekiki along with a bagful of buttons.

For your information dear Future Reader: JHulkko, who kindly put this book into circulation, is a Finnish writer who entertained us bookcrossers last summer in the Finnish convention by telling us what it is like to be a writer - you hardly ever even get dressed during the day and your writing uniform is a light-blue nightie. She also had a wrapped book for each and every participant - this was mine.

JHulkko, you may be my new hero! I will have to see if I can find any of your works :) anyone who works in their pyjamas is a friend of mine!

Kirjakko - thanks for bringing this book, I'm looking forward to it - i've enjoyed Sedaris before (but I have to agree he doesn't beat Wilde). And such a pretty bag full of such pretty buttons too. You are far to generous and I feel very spoilt! Thankyou

Always happy to read, or listen to, David Sedaris. Thanks very much Vekiki.

(Must've been ages ago because I don't remember the promise!)

Journal Entry 10 by Cinderess at BC Meetup, A RABCK -- Controlled Releases on Wednesday, November 6, 2013
Less funny, much darker than others. This one makes his father who I thought simply quirky, from previous books I read (perhaps more recently published than Naked), seem cruel and unkind. Ashes particularly made me feel sad.

Naked (the story) is plain bizarre!
