It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.Stranger Than... - Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books
2 journalers for this copy...
"In Iran in the late 90s, Azar Nafisi and 7 young women, her former students, met every Thursday to discuss forbidden works of Western literature. shy and uncomfortable at first, they began to open up - not only about the novels they were reading but also about their dreams and disappointments. This gives a rare glimpse of women's lives in revolutionary Iran."
I found it a bit difficult at first, as the author jumps between times and places from one chapter to the next or even within one chapter. So I had to read it as a memoir, one chapter at a time without trying to connect it to something I had read in the previous chapter. And then it worked ;-)
