??? I read it, but am so perplexed I don't know what to say about this book.
I expected to like it. I LOVE books with recipes -- but not this one. The rare recipe that I recognized the ingredients of were primarily foods I'm allergic to/not effective to modify the recipe.
I LOVE fantasy -- but this was pretty odd stuff. Well, very odd stuff mixed with very pragmatic stuff then you'd be zinged with REALLY off stuff.
I'm generally okay with people surviving toxic parenting situations, but ... there were a few too many toxic with NO redeeming features to make sense out of the motivation for me.
GAH! I'd heard so much about this book that I wanted to like it, but, didn't.
