I think she is funny and this book had its moments. Not screamingly funny but amusing. Her style of humour and the way she delivers it (either in print or on TV etc) may not appeal to everyone.
There's a touch of absurdist humour throught this book. all in all, a humourous, light read.
This is my fave bit though:
"I do believe, though, that most animal testing is improper. If you want to test cosmetics, why do it on some poor animal who hasn't done anything wrong? They should use prisoners who have been convicted of murder or rape instead. So, rather than seeing if some perfume irritates a bunny rabbit's eyes, they should throw it in Charles Manson's eyes and ask him if it hurts."
Damn right, Ellen.

Received when the box returned home!
My sister tells me this is a great read, so I am adding it to the pile of TBR.

I had a quick dip, and Ellen is very funny.
Of course, she is genius as the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo.
I am sending this book out in the non fiction and miscellany bookbag.

I like Ellen's quirky sense of humour and this one looks like a good 'dip into book' for my capacious handbag (can't get caught without a book for matters like queue emergencies!!). Once I've read it, I'll send it on its way!
A fun read - I could almost hear Ellen Degeneres' voice during some sections! I like her quirky worldview!
