Went to get the Christmas tree for Petchmo's house and the tree was so big that both myself Petchmo and the tree could not all fit in the car together. Hence I was abandoned on a stretch of road in south Liverpool for 40 minutes. Happily the road in dense with second hand shops so by the time Petchmo returned I was in the Penny Lane wine bar with four new books of which this was one!

I got about 87% of the way through this and then rather lost track and momentum and ended up not finishing it. And I am not entirely sure that I missed anything. Well plotted, rich and thick with intrigue but not sustaining enough to keep my attention. This book was greeted by the book critics with rapturous applause -they obviously saw something that I failed to engage with. Maybe i'll give it a go again some other time but for now this copy is heading out as a RABCK.

This book is heading off to see Izzles who very kindly sent me a number of RABCK books a few months ago. Thank you once again Izzles for your kindness, hope you enjoy this book.

I enjoyed the story but the style of writing was really hard to follow at times so I can only give it a 6/10.

The book has now been passed on to a friend at work.
