Extended Profile
I love to read, quilt and scrapbook, but not in big groups, so I don't belong to any book clubs, quilting bee's or go to "Scrap Nights". Does that make me reclusive? I love living on the Central Coast of California. We're close enough to the beach, big
cities or snow to go to any or all of them on the same day! I found Book Crossing while reading a copy of Mental Floss magazine, and I hope it catches on in our area. I love the idea of seeing where my books have gone.
Stealing an idea from BC member vixenlibrarian, I decided to attempt the A-Z Author Challenge. I am reading one author for each letter of the alphabet whom I've never read before. And I'm doing my best to read them in order. My list is not yet complete, but I have enough to start off the alphabet that I have time to find the missing books. If anyone has suggestions, by all means, please send me a PM:

My deadline is August 2006. Some of the books I used to have listed are classics that I SHOULD have read years ago, but of course, I've replaced them with new books that I couldn't wait to read! August 2006 update: I have 2 1/2 books to go! The X book is long but I'm making my way through it! Looks like I won't finish till September, but hey 26 new authors in 13 months isn't bad!
