I am administering this page on behalf of my mother who does not have easy access to the internet. I have been an obsessive bookcrosser for a few months when it occured to me that my mother may benefit from BookCrossing even if she cannot actively participate.

My mom is retired and lives on a farm in rural South Africa. She is a big fan of romances. Books in South Africa is very expensive and the quality of the romance novels are not always the best (there are no Harlequins or Silouhette romances, if you can believe that!). So I started sending her books that I got here in Canada and then started PMing fellow BookCrossers and asking them to send her some romances too! It works out great and my mother loves the packages of books that she receives from total strangers with their wonderful capacity to share (thanks everybody that responded to my requests!)

If anybody want to send my mom a romance, feel free to PM me, we might be able to set up a three-way trade for something on my bookshelf :-)

If you have sent Mom some books and know she has received it (i.e. she has sent you a thank-you note/postcard or something similar) but the book was not 'caught', please PM me with the BCID# and I will make a journal entry for her. Sometimes the numbers just don't get written down quickly enough and then she forgets to include it in her letters to me.
